So here I am, and there is bacon. I sat there why you eat. Didn’t beg or anything. But you leave the room! I mean I LOVE Bacon. I eventual give up and let out a huge sigh. Can you believe that even with that cute sigh, the human still did not give me bacon.

Licorice

Went on vacation to Fairy stone state park and took 1 day to go look at a local breeders pups. Ended up I bought the last 2 males she had. Licorice and Jackko are now my treasures and would love to have them showcased if they are lucky enough to be chosen.

Licorice is now 1 year old, as a pup he was taken to obedience training, passed easily. He is 1 of 2 Miniture Schnauzers I own and his playmate Jackko are like brothers. Licorice loves to play tarp he drags a 10′ x 12′ tarp around the yard like a security blanket, his favorite toy is a small squeak ball, the more the better but he can only fit one in his mouth at a time. He only eats INNOVA food but when outside he loves anything. Bugs are his play toys until they don’t move any longer then it’s off to find another. He has been neutered and has a great disposition, he and Jackko play hard and fast and are great watchdogs.

We got Mr. Manny after we had to put our previous dog, a pit bull, to sleep in 2005. He’s named after my husband’s favorite baseball player, Manny Ramirez, who played for our beloved Red Sox at the time.

Manny is a typical Boxer – goofy, energetic and friendly! He loves going for walks, playing in the yard and snuggling on the couch. If you should meet him, Beware! He will smother you in slobbery kisses. He doesn’t get washed too often due to his sensitive skin and short fur, but he loves his Doggie Sage dog wash, especially in the summertime!

Protection

One thing I have always been good at doing is protecting my home. Although now that I am 11.5 years old, I am not as loud, or as fast as I once was, but never will stop looking out that window to make sure no one (especially the mailman, will he EVER get the point!) comes near my house with out my approval.

Connor was a puppymill rescue along with his 5 siblings when he was 13 weeks old. Even the first time we saw him, he was the happiest, wagging-est dog you’ve ever seen. Connor has a kind heart and grand sense of humor.

Hey guys! My name is Gertrude but everyone calls me Gertie. I live with my sister, Tilly, and my Mom and Dad. I LOVE food! And I think about it all the time. How to get food

Things I have learned in my 11.5 years on how to get good, or should I say, human food.

1. Give them a sweet face and they will break down and give you food.

I mean look at my face? What kind of human would turn those eyes down.

2. If cute eyes fail, lay underneath where the Human cooks, she will eventually drop something. It works really well if you make it hard for her to reach things. And it is even better if you can time standing up and moving so that it bumps her making her drop food!

3. Lay underneath the dining room table. The female Human is messy, so I face her direction. I never mess a scrap. I think she is happy about that since I have heard her say “At least that means I don’t have to vacuum!” I am just doing my part to help the family out.

4. When no one is looking, put your paws on the kitchen counter and surf, the humans are bound to, on occasion, forget to put away everything. I scored the other day a yummy melon that was fresh from the yard. My word of advice when doing this, is eat it all and quick, or else you will get caught, and the Humans do NOT like this.

5. Of course you can get food by the traditional means, waiting for the dog food bowl. But the good food, the kind the Humans eat, never seem to show up in that bowl.
