Kristen Dougherty’s Pet Portraits

No Comments 09 February 2010

Ever want your pet to be a famous painting?  I am certain that I, Princess Buttercup, would make a wonderful master piece.  And if I ever have the chance, I know who I will commission my portrait.

Kristen Dougherty takes a photo of your pet and transforms it into a wonderful painting that looks just like your pet.  She post the photo and the painting so you can see just how she is able to capturing your animal.

What I really like about her work is that she is able to capture the eyes with out making it look like a stuffed animal.  She is able to capture the spirit of your best friend.

I am hoping my human is listening (hint hint) I would make a wonderful painting!

Check out her etsy site and stop by her blog to see more of her amazing work.  This would be the perfect gift for the dog (and cat) lover in your life.

Modern June Oilcloth Pet Dish Mats

No Comments 05 February 2010

How cute are these pet dish mats handcrafted by Modern June?

They come in a variety of choices (36 to exact!) that you can purchase through her etsy shop.

Think how stylish your puppy will be eating off of these handmade goodies. And think how happy you will be when you won’t have to clean up the floor all around them.

Speaking of Dog bowls, if your doggie gets red stains on their face and chin, think about switching to stainless steal dog bowls.  It is thought that the red on their face is caused by red yeast, and plastic bowls are know to harbor bacteria!  Also, clean their face daily.  You can use Doggie Sage Therapeutic Mist (available at select Whole Foods and soon to be listed online) or used the Conditioning Mist.  Add it to a cotton round and clean spots that are reddish.  Daily cleansing will help to diminish the redness.

Lucky Fiona

No Comments 01 October 2009

My Human purchased the best collars made by Lucky Fiona, from For Love of Pete. What is great about Lucky Fiona collars is that they are made from fun fabrics, super soft, and of course stylish.

My Human likes them when she has to train Eva. Because the leads are soft they are easier to hold. You can see my Human and Eva at a Rally-O Competition, where they came in first place, sporting Lucky Fiona collar and leads.

After being taken for a short walk by the sweet little girl next door (the one that drew me a picture), I decided to surf the web looking for fun dog related items. I stumbled across this wonderful work at Pop Dog Press on etsy.
Here you can find breed specific gear with a fun and modern twist.
She also has a wonderful blog, Pop Dog Blog, where you discover more of her artwork, key chains, cards and portraits.
