I am a rough coat collie with silken sable colored coat. I was an owner surrender and taken into resucue by The dog Liberator. I was so sad when I did not belong to a family any more. then one day, my mom offered to foster me. I know for me it was love at first sight, not that I would let on to a human! They took me to get all my shots and groomed. Boy did that ever feel good. I thought you know a girl could get used to this! Well, it happend as they say in rescue, another foster failure and I found my furever home…the rest is history!

We adotpted Ozzy from Virginia German Shepherd Rescue in 2007 and our lives have never been the same! Our very first shepherd, Ozzy is protective, smart, loyal, and a velcro dog. He likes mango ice cream and long walks along the James River. His favorite sport is sheep herding and he loves to burp in your face at the most ridiculous moments. He comforts me when I am sad and plays the fool on a regular basis. He likes nothing more than to sit for hours on end in the snow and hunt for kitties under cars. In short, Ozzy is the best sheppie in the world!

T Lo is an 8 year old fabulous mixed mutt (schnauzer, long haired jack russell, chow chow, etc.) who has brightens my world and kept my life interesting every day for the past 6 years! She is currently battling mammary and lymph cancer, but you’d never know it by her constant cuddling and wild child ways. The fabulous Deacon is the author of Deacon Does DC, a luxury lifestyle blog in the DC area and beyond. Deacon is a three year old German Shepherd whose hobbies include wearing stylish bandanas, playing with his WUBBA toy, getting tummy rubs, and snuggling. He firmly believes he is a labrador trapped in a GSD’s body, as he is admittedly a lover, and not a fighter. Deacon has recently welcomed a brother (a mini doxie named Marty) into the family, and would like to add “chasing my younger brother around the house and being yelled at not knock over furniture” to his list of hobbies.

Licorice

Went on vacation to Fairy stone state park and took 1 day to go look at a local breeders pups. Ended up I bought the last 2 males she had. Licorice and Jackko are now my treasures and would love to have them showcased if they are lucky enough to be chosen.

Licorice is now 1 year old, as a pup he was taken to obedience training, passed easily. He is 1 of 2 Miniture Schnauzers I own and his playmate Jackko are like brothers. Licorice loves to play tarp he drags a 10′ x 12′ tarp around the yard like a security blanket, his favorite toy is a small squeak ball, the more the better but he can only fit one in his mouth at a time. He only eats INNOVA food but when outside he loves anything. Bugs are his play toys until they don’t move any longer then it’s off to find another. He has been neutered and has a great disposition, he and Jackko play hard and fast and are great watchdogs.

We got Mr. Manny after we had to put our previous dog, a pit bull, to sleep in 2005. He’s named after my husband’s favorite baseball player, Manny Ramirez, who played for our beloved Red Sox at the time.

Manny is a typical Boxer – goofy, energetic and friendly! He loves going for walks, playing in the yard and snuggling on the couch. If you should meet him, Beware! He will smother you in slobbery kisses. He doesn’t get washed too often due to his sensitive skin and short fur, but he loves his Doggie Sage dog wash, especially in the summertime!
