We’re a 3 dog family, but (shhhhh…), I DO have a favorite- “Pinkie”. She’s a Corgi-Chihuahua, (not kidding), who just observed her 7th birthday last week. She is a full-time employee of EcoLogic, here in Richmond, where she allows me to go in with her everyday to help out. She’s a vital asset to the team, greeting each customer and very vocally keeping other canines at bay who happen to walk by our front door.
When asked, “Are you a REAL person?”, she will stand right up on her back 2, and look deeply into your eyes, as if to say, “YES – finally! she understands!”

Pinkie’s also a huge help in the studio! She’s with me every minute I’m in there working on my latest gourd creation for my side gig, “Avant-Gourde”. There have been many a late night there in the studio, especially night before my shows. She’s my biggest fan and my best friend.

Linus is a loyal rescue from Hanover Animal Control adopted in 2004. I got him the morning after he was supposed to be euthanized, due to Animal Control being closed on Sundays. He is 5 years old and loves swimming, sniffing, and playing at the dog park. His most favorite thing is keeping his mom company in the bed on cold nights.

This is my youngest Shih Tzu, Bucky. He is the most precious snuggly puppy, but extremely dumb. So, his overbite suits his personality. I don’t know that he’ll ever know his name, and the only thing that he’s ever been successfully trained on is the doggy door. However, I love his dumbness, especially when I’m talking to him and he cocks his head with this blank stare… it just makes me want to pick him up and kiss him all over!

Bailey is a 4 year old Jack Russel Terrier. We sort of rescued her by taking her off someone’s (who didn’t treat her nicely) hands. She loves to chase animals and lounge on the couch.

Miss Pollyanna, aka Polly, Polliwog, Pugalicious, Pugga-Wugga, is a 10 year old black Pug who has recently become a Doggie Sage client. In fact, this picture was taken not long after her most recent bath with Doggie Sage Herbal Shampoo. Polly is known for her super-huge tongue that doesn’t fit in her mouth (which gives her the freakish ability to lick her own eyeball), being able to tell the difference between the Chinese food and pizza delivery guys (she always gets a single lo mein noodle when we have Chinese), her general hatred for squirrels and radio controlled helicopters, and her personification of the Pug’s AKC description, “Multum in Parvo” (much in little). You often hear Polly before you see her because of her telltale snort. Recently, one of her grandmas noted that Polly is starting a new fashion trend – sporting a silver mohawk-like stripe down the middle of her otherwise furry black head.

Snickers is our adorable 5 year old greyhound. He always brings a smile to our faces with his sweet disposition and devastating good looks. Snickers enjoys peanut butter, long walks and napping excessively.
